The most western part of Mykonos Town meets the sea in an area known as "Little Venice." During the 16th and 17th century pirates were common in the Aegean Sea and it is believed this area was used for the necessary quick loading and unloading of goods. Today it is a popular place to catch a view on one of the most beautiful sunsets found anywhere in the world.
